After spending all summer filling the first team squad full of talent, AC Milan are prepared to cast an eye towards the future. Pietro Pellegri, 16 years of age, is set to make a move to Milan from Genoa.

It seems that a deal has been sealed, or is on the verge of being sealed, according to Gianluca Di Marzio on Twitter, however, it will not happen until January. The deal could be done today, but Pellegri won’t be in red and black until the winter!

Pellegri is a highly-rated forward viewed as one of the better forward prospects in Italy. Cutrone has made a mark, so we’d expect Pellegri to do the same in the future.

It looks like this might be Milan’s final move of the summer, but that does not at all mean that we have had a disappointing mercato. In fact, it’s nice to finish it all off with a view to the future.
