However, the player wants to stay.

According to TyCSports and Football Italia, Boca Juniors might be interested to lure the 32-year-old midfielder away from San Siro.

The former Bayern, Napoli, and Besiktas player is coming off a run-of-the-mill season, failing to make a lasting impression of any kind. The Argentinian found the back of the net once against Lugano, in what was the first friendly of the summer for Milan, while afterwards being left out of the squad against Romanian side Craiova, a game that marked Milan’s return to Europe.

Having already reeled in 11 players this summer, Milan are now knuckling down to selling, with Sosa considered surplus to requirements. The player has been put on the market along with the likes of Bacca and Paletta, who are also expected to leave.

Jose Sosa seems however bent on staying at San Siro, having shaken his head at a potential move to Fenerbahce already.

His agent came out and made it clear the idea is to stay put and laughed off rumors of departure. While he denied receiving any calls from the Argentinian club, he did not slam the door completely on a move away this summer: “Nobody called us from Boca. Sosa wants to stay at Milan, having said that you never know what could happen until the end of August, but the desire is to remain at Milan. That has always been the plan.”
