Official: Hakan Çalhanoğlu joins the Milan revolution!

It’s a done deal. Hakan Çalhanoğlu is the latest player to join AC Milan. Çalhanoğlu arrives at Milan after the Rossoneri stumped a fee that will amount to around €24 million in total, after bonuses are paid to Bayer Leverkusen.

After a successful medical, the Turkish playmaker is set for AC Milan in a move that will really rile up the middle of the park at San Siro. This move is further definition, if needed, that Fassone and Mirabelli are backing Vincenzo Montella in the transfer market - adding players with not just style, but substance.

Hakan Çalhanoğlu comes to Milan off of the back of a four month suspension, following a breach of contract as a teenager and missed the remainder of Leverkusen’s season in Germany. Çalhanoğlu brings a lot of what Keisuke Honda should have brought to AC Milan - namely attacking versatility and set piece deadliness. We’ll see if he can deliver soon!
