When the Chief Executive of Bayern Munich, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, said that Renato Sanches will likely spend this coming season away on loan, it’s not likely that many thought that AC Milan would be the destination.
However, if reports from, well - Report, are to be believe, it’s looking likely that the winner of the 2016 Golden Boy could be on his way to AC Milan.
The deal will emulate the Kessie and Borini moves. Milan will pay Bayern Munich €7 million for a season-long loan before paying €40 million to finalise the move on a permanent basis next year.
Sanches would be a fantastic signing for Milan, but one has to wonder what the point is? Franck Kessie will excel this season and Sanches wouldn’t be that much of an improvement in the role, despite being a more promising talent. We’re pretty sure Milan can cram the pair into the team - especially if Sanches is deployed higher up, though.
Renato Sanches would be another marquee signing for Milan, in a summer full of surprises.
