Leonardo Bonucci seems set for AC Milan move

Out of nowhere, it looks like Bonucci is set to be a Milan player for the coming season.

Reports emerging last night about a possible move for Juventus’ Leonardo Bonucci were laughed off - with Sky Sports even denying the move. However, there has been a flurry of activity today that forecast the transfer deal being sealed and closed within the next 24 hours.

The agent of Bonucci is working on a move and it is said that he’d prefer to stop in Italy, despite heavy interest from Chelsea and Manchester City. It has been said that there is an agreement in theory between Milan and Juventus. In fact, Bonucci’s family are set to stay in Milan, with the player’s wife seeking a home in the area.

As for the fee? It was rumoured that Milan might throw Mattia De Sciglio to Juventus to lower a fee, or even Alessio Romagnoli to the giants of Turin, but Juventus are holding steady for an offer of €40m, regardless of if De Sciglio moves. If the Milan fullback does move, it might be a separate deal entirely.

Leonardo Bonucci is a decorated centre-back that would be very much welcome at Milan this season. He was named the Serie A Footballer of the Year back in 2016, while featuring in the UEFA Team of the Year in that very season. It looks as though in 2017, he’ll be Rossonero.
