There are a lot of rumors surrounding AC Milan during this first weeks of summer transfer window, but one of the more realistic seems to be the one regarding Lazio’s Lucas Biglia.
The 31-year-old central midfielder is the right man to make the Rossoneri’s midfield competitive and the market duo Fassone-Mirabelli are doing their best to bring him to Milan. As reported by Eurosport.it, they offered him a 3-year deal worth not less than €2.5 million per season and are currently negotiating with Claudio Lotito, president of SS Lazio, which set the price around €20 million.
This is a high value for a player that has already turned 31 and whose contract is expiring in 2018, but it makes perfectly sense for Milan’s needs. In effect, Biglia is the type of midfielder that the Rossoneri desperately need to build a competitive team. He’s skilled, quick and strong enough to play as defensive midfielder if necessary, he’s good on free kicks and penalties, but he’s mostly the kind of player that can control the pace of the game. For this aspect, he’s very similar to one of the greatest Rossoneri of the last 15 years: Andrea Pirlo.
There’s nothing official yet, but it would be a great signing if Milan and Lazio reach an agreement soon.
