AC Milan are certainly ramping up their efforts to acquire Bayer Leverkusen’s Hakan Çalhanoglu. The move came out of nowhere yesterday, and according to Gianluca Di Marzio, it’s almost on the verge of being sealed. That’s crazy fast, especially compared to the Conti and Biglia situations, which seem to have ground to a complete standstill.
According to the publication, Milan have made a first offer of €15 million plus bonuses, but Leverkusen want that fee to be doubled to meet their €30 million valuation of the midfielder. Milan’s Massimiliano Mirabelli is the mastermind behind this move, and will do his best to ensure Milan’s second offer crosses the line.
However, the most exciting news comes from Calcio Mercato, who report that AC Milan have tied down the deal with Çalhanoglu and have agreed on a contract worth €3 million a year over five years. All that’s left? The big fee to Leverkusen.
