AC Milan are set to surprise the footballing world by capturing Andrea Belotti with an improved second bid.

Milan have been laughed at plenty of times, not least by Torino management for their chase of the Italian forward. Torino did say that there was no way that Milan could afford the striker, who has a 87 million euro release clause to foreign teams.

Milan have not been deterred. Their first offer of 37 million was flat out rejected. However their second offer of a 20 million euro season loan with a 60 million installment to arrive the following season to seal a permanent transfer to AC Milan might tempt Torino, who have yet to receive serious interest in Belotti. Despite rumours, no team had made a move for Belotti despite Milan.

Milan’s audacity has to be admired here, and it seems that their desire will bring Belotti to the San Siro to lead the line.
