AC Milan’s transfer plans might have hit a rock - their latest target might not be able to join the club due to medical problems.
With news breaking that Milan have finally put pen to paper on the Mateo Musacchio deal, their summer is going forward at a breakneck pace - right now they are studying their next signing closely after agreeing a fee and a contract.
That man? It’s Franck Kessié - one of Atalanta’s star men this past season as La Dea qualified for the Europa League following their high finish in the Serie A table. Kessié’s move to Milan is rumored to be a loan with an obligation to buy (which of course, is a rather common transfer strategy in Europe).
Unfortunately, Milan’s medical inspection of Franck Kessié has returned a number of unknown issues that might be large enough to void any contract and deal made.
While this is a setback, it may just be a temporary one. Franck Kessié is being evaluated further as we speak and it might just be that the deal needs to be adjusted to reflect any physical problems Kessié might have.
