After news broke that AC Milan were on the verge of signing Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata - you’d be inclined to think that they had closed up on forwards for the season.
However, you’d be wrong to think that - the latest news is that AC Milan want to bring in Morata, of course - but back him up with Celtic’s Moussa Dembele.
The young French striker has been nothing but a hit since joining Celtic from Fulham, scoring 17 times in 27 league games for the Bhoys. It’d take a nice fee to prise him away from Scotland, but Milan have that capability now.
Dembele has been linked with a move to the biggest clubs in Europe, not least Chelsea - who he was on the verge of joining in January, before committing to a season with Celtic. Dembele made a name for himself in Brendan Rogers unbeaten team, but will look to move this summer as the biggest clubs in Europe come knocking.
