According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Milan are a step away from signing Wolfsburg’s Ricardo Rodriguez. The Swiss left-back is keen on a move to Milan and all that stands in the way of the deal being completed are his current club. Milan sorted out the brass tacks with Ricardo a number of weeks ago, and everyone now waits on Wolfsburg to greenlight the deal.
The deal will cost Milan just over €15 million, which for Rodriguez is cheap - considering the Swiss’ release clause is priced at over €20 million. It seems Wolfsburg aren’t playing hardball with Milan and Rodriguez, so expect him to join Milan in the next few weeks.
This will likely be Milan’s second deal of the mercato. The club are currently chasing Franck Kessie of Atalanta - and although there has been no official announcement, the club are very close on that front as well. Who will join first?
