Cesc Fabregas would be a welcome addition to Milan.

If going for Chelsea’s Mario Pasalic wasn’t enough (bearing in mind the Pasalic is currently with Milan on a season-long loan deal from Chelsea), Vincenzo Montella and AC Milan want to pair him up with Spanish stalwart Cesc Fabregas,

Following solid spells at Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea, Fabregas is set for a new adventure and AC Milan under their new owners should have the €30 million spare to prise Cesc away from London. Whether he moves? That’s up to him, but Milan are certainly interested according to a variety of reports.

€30 million is a lot of money to pay for a midfielder who is nearing 30 years of age, but one must remember that Fabregas is a pretty good player and would certainly step up Milan’s midfield. He has helped Chelsea’s title hunt with 4 goals and 7 assists and could stand to boost that production with Milan, a team he’d certainly start for unlike Chelsea, where he hasn’t always been first choice.

Certainly, Fabregas is available should Milan be willing to spend - but there are arguably more brighter talents that could be gained for less. Overspending on ageing players is not a philosophy Milan want to court on a common basis.
