According to L'Équipe, AC Milan have been in contact with Serge Aurier's entourage regarding a move to Italy.

The news comes on the back-end of some very controversial behaviour by the PSG full-back.

The player was infamously suspended by PSG for insulting former coach Laurent Blanc and his teammates on Periscope, in early February. Aurier followed this act, with a conviction in September for assaulting a police officer, which led to his visa being revoked and his withdrawal from PSG's Champions League fixture against Arsenal.

His celebration with Ivory Coast in November, when he pretended to slit his throat after scoring, is just one of the many controversial things that the full-back has done in the past year.

While the Ivorian has a notorious history, few would argue that he is one of the best right-backs on the planet today.

Apart from his brute force, the player is an exceptional dribbler, and plays well on both ends of the pitch. With Ignazio Abate not getting any younger, the absence of a quality right-back has been a cause for concern. At the moment, De Sciglio continues to back Abate in case the captain needs a rest, with Antonelli the preferred option to fill in the vacated left-back spot.

With Davide Calabria still finding his feet in top flight football, Serge Aurier would be a welcome addition to a squad that is looking to return to Europe. His history and the rise of Thomas Meunier at PSG, should help any negotiations with PSG.

However, there is competition for the player in Barcelona, who hope to sign the player and fill in a vacant spot at right-back.

While the player will most likely move in the summer, it will be a huge risk should the transfer to Milan materialise. Because whether we like it or not, Serge Aurier is a double edged sword and will most likely stay that way.
