It seems as if Diego Lopez has found his new club. Lopez was left frustrated after being relegated to a bench warming role last season following the emergence of Gianluigi Donnarumma.
According to Gazzamercato, Lopez's agent has met with club officials in London over the past week to negotiate terms for his transfer to Chelsea FC who are interested in the keeper, and an agreement was reportedly reached. The move to London will only happen if current second choice keeper for Chelsea, Asmir Begovic, moves to Everton as has been reported. Begovic is rumoured to not be in Antonio Conte's plans for the London based club, and new Everton manager Ronald Koeman is keen on bringing the Bosnian to Merseyside to replace the departing Tim Howard.
The Champions League winner made the move from Real Madrid to AC Milan on a free transfer in 2014, but a poor start to the 2015-16 season saw Gianluigi Donnarumma replace him as starting goalkeeper.
The folk over at We Ain't Got No History seem indifferent to the rumour, however would probably be better off with Lopez as second-choice, who would probably be more content with that role in London than Begovic is.
