AC Milan took on Empoli in the very early kick off yesterday and brought home a big three-nil win breaking the trend of struggling against bottom of the table sides. Alessandro Florenzi picked up an injury and was replaced by Alex Jimenez. Yunus Musah returned from injury off the bench while Yacine Adli got another start.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek opened the scoring as he opened his body in the box to receive a square ball from Rafael Leao taking a pinpoint finish into the bottom corner. Milan took the lead ten minutes in and controlled the tempo for the rest of the game.

Olivier Giroud registered his tenth goal of the season albeit from the penalty spot becoming the first player to break into double figures for the season. He whacked it into the top corner hitting the crossbar on the way in to double our lead.

The highlight for most fans will undoubtedly be the emergence of Chaka Traore who scored the third goal and his second in two consecutive games. The Ivorian youngster has received the call up from the Primavera and is proving clinical for Pioli. He calmly took a brilliant finish from Christian Pulisic’s through ball after a quick counter attacking run from our box. He is quickly becoming a top prospect for the senior team.

The 3-0 win puts Milan 6 points above fourth place currently occupied by Fiorentina and maintains the gaps with Juventus and Inter Milan above.
