AC Milan travel to face Empoli in the very early kick off on Sunday. The Rossoneri are coming off a big win in the Coppa Italia and a hard fought victory over Sassuolo in the league. Stefano Pioli’s side have struggled against the weaker sides in the league as evidence with the 2-2 draws with Salernitana and Lecce.

The manager will revert to his usual eleven hence will not be rewarding Luka Jovic for his recent form nor Jan-Carlo Simic for his big start to life in the senior team. Veterans Simon Kjaer and Olivier Giroud get the nod alongside Alessandro Florenzi too. Yacine Adli will start again as Ismael Bennacer has left for AFCON and Yunus Musah is not fully fit to start yet.

The Rossoneri need all three points to keep the pressure on Juventus and Inter Milan at the top and need to capitalise on some of the sides below with tough match ups.

Expected Line Up (4-2-3-1): Maignan, Calabria, Kjaer, Hernandez, Florenzi, Reijnders, Adli, Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek, Leao, Giroud.
