AC Milan welcomed Cagliari to the San Siro for the round of sixteen fixture in the Coppa Italia and thumped them with a team full of Primavera talents. Stefano Pioli’s side registered a big 4-1 victory with Jan-Carlo Simic, Alex Jimenez and Chaka Traore starting.

Luka Jovic was the star of the show as he bagged a brace in the first half as he connected brilliantly with Theo Hernandez both times. For his first goal, he received a stunning cross in the box and controlled it over the centre back before smashing it below the keeper. He would net again about ten minutes later as Theo went on an unreal run tearing open the entire pitch before laying it off for Jovic who hammered it at the keeper with his wrong foot forcing it into the back of the net.

Ivorian youngster Chaka Traore made a mark as he scored a stunner fighting off defenders and managing to take a strong shot in the box and scoring. He gets his first goal for the club in his third game after just 95 minutes of play.

Rafael Leao came off the bench to cap off the victory as he collected Christian Pulisic’s pass and curled it past the keeper scoring at the far post. Kevin Zeroli and Davide Bartesaghi also got minutes off the bench.

The Rossoneri will face Atalanta or Sassuolo in the quarter finals next week.
