375 days since a goal against Inter Milan. 4 games without a win. 360 minutes without a goal while conceding 7. AC Milan take on Inter for the fifth time in 2023 which has been a dark year for the Rossoneri faithful in the derby della Madonnina. This evening is the final opportunity for Stefano Pioli’s men to get a win in this calendar year.

Milan have a huge gap in their line up at centre back. Fikayo Tomori got sent off in the previous game while our first back up Pierre Kalulu has picked up a muscle injury in training during the break. This means 34 year old Simon Kjaer gets the nod to start at a time when he has played over 100 minutes of international football and is not quick enough to keep up with Martinez and Thuram.

Pioli will be deploying his new 4-3-3 which Simone Inzaghi has not faced and the Rossoneri will boast three new signings who Inter have not encountered. The new dynamic attack will have it’s first big test while the defence and especially Maignan will need 10/10 performances to keep us in the fight to take home all three points.

Expected Line Up (4-3-3): Maignan, Calabria, Thiaw, Kjaer, Hernandez, Loftus-Cheek, Krunic, Reijnders, Pulisic, Giroud, Leao.
