AC Milan hosted Novara at Milanello this morning for their final pre-season friendly of the summer ahead of the season opener in a week against Bologna. Stefano Pioli entirely rotated the squad from the previous game against Etoile du Sahel and came away with a 4-2 win with lots of positives.
Samuel Chukweuze opened the scoring in the game as he intercepted a throw in and walked through the defence before beating the keeper and tapping it in. Noah Okafor scored the second goal with a rebound after Chukwueze hit the post. Davide Calabria returned to action and scored a whopper from a long shot shot from outside the box with his weaker left foot to get us the third of the game. In the final minutes, Yacine Adli lofted a ball all the way from our half into the box and a poor clearance dropped it at the feet of Lorenzo Colombo who dispatched a rocket on the half volley to close out the game at 4-2.
A couple of notes from the game: Chukwueze is a brilliant dribbler and has a good cross, Okafor provides pace in attack, Yunus Musah can be something big if properly developed, Adli is brilliant on the ball but need to pull his weight off the ball and finally Calabria/Kalulu is a good RB battle for the season as well as their growth.

The players have a two day rest before returning on Wednesday for their final preparations before Serie A kicks off again.
