AC Milan Beat Tunisia’s Champions ESS In Friendly As Loftus-Cheek Bangs In A Hattrick

AC Milan faced the champions of Tunisia in a friendly match at Milanello earlier today. Etoile Sportive du Sahel are also sponsored by Emirates Airlines hence the likely link to set up the fixture. Stefano Pioli played all his starters for this game and there was finally a positive result. Milan won the friendly 4-0 just on week out from the season opener.

Christian Pulisic whipped in a cross which Ruben Loftus-Cheek caught mid air with a lovely volley to open the scoring. Rafael Leao knocked in a low cross which Loftus-Cheek slammed onto the crossbar and in for his second goal. Loftus-Cheek connected with another Pulisic cross that was partly intercepted with a beautiful half volley and smashed it in for his hat trick. Loftus-Cheek did brilliantly with the late runs into the box where he created space to finish off each of the goals. In the second half, Milan won a penalty after a handball in the box. Olivier Giroud stepped up and buried the penalty in the top left corner with a solid shot to cap off the game at 4-0.

Milan play Novara in their final friendly of the pre-season tomorrow morning with Pioli likely to go for a full rotation as with the Trento game. Look out for Samuel Chukwueze, Noah Okafor, Yunus Musah and Marco Sportielo in this game.
