AC Milan have announced on their website the departure of right winger Junior Messias to Genoa on a loan with an obligation to buy upon agreed conditions. The Brazilian has spent two seasons with the Rossoneri where he played a role in winning out first Scudetto in over a decade. Over his two seasons, he scored 12 goals and provided 5 assists.
Milan have extended Messias contract by a year until the summer of 2025 to facilitate the deal. Gianluca di Marzio is reporting that Milan will receive 1.5 million euros as a loan fee and then an additional 1.5 million euros as a buyout which includes bonuses.
The 32 year old had an inspiring story rising from being a delivery driver to starting his professional career in 2015 aged 24 in Serie D. He rose through the ranks playing in Serie C then B and finlly A with Crotone before his big move to Milan where he lifted won the title.
