AC Milan faced Trento at Milanello yesterday evening in a friendly game. The Rossoneri were beaten 1-0 thanks to a 69th minute goal for the Serie C side. This is an alarming result despite the heavy rotation as Milan have not scored a goal from open play in their previous three games now.
Milan’s starting XI for the game was Sportiello, Florenzi, Kjaer, Simic, Batesaghi, Musah, Pobega, Adli, Chukwueze, Colombo, Romero. The substitutes were largely Primavera players including Zeroli, Traore, Eletu, Camarda, Nsiala and Jimenez. The exciting thing was to see Francesco Camarda the 15 year old phenom getting some minutes with the first team.
The Rossoneri are expected to play two more friendlies ahead of the season opener on 21st August against Bologna. Milan are set to play Etoile Sportive du Sahel on Saturday 12th and Novara on Sunday 13th both at Milanello. The expectation is to see the first team feature on Saturday and the rotation on Sunday.
