AC Milan Play Frosinone As Defensive Crisis Forces Bartesaghi To Start

Milan cannot lose pace with the title race given how poorly their European campaign has gone.

AC Milan play their third home game in a row as newly promoted Frosinone visit the San Siro. The Rossoneri are in a difficult moment following a loss to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League and just 1 win in the previous 5 league games.

The big talking point is the defensive emergency as Malick Thiaw is out for months and joins Simon Kjaer, Pierre Kalulu and Marco Pellegrino on the side line. There are two options for the starting line up, Pioli will either deploy Jan-Carlo Simic as the centre back or Davide Bartesaghi as the left back. A primavera player is tipped to make a start tonight.

Milan need to be wary of Frosinone who sit in 10th place with 5 wins and 3 draws. Their wingers are the key to their play and Arijon Ibrahimovic on loan from Bayern Munich and Matias Soule on loan from Juventus are some of the top performers across the league.

Expected Line Up (4-3-3): Maignan, Calabria, Tomori, Hernandez, Bartesaghi, Krunic, Musah, Loftus-Cheek, Chukwueze, Jovic, Pulisic.
