Players to Watch
The American attacker will return to the starting line up following his minor injury prior to the break. He should be well rested and well drilled as Pioli will deploy him on the left wing to replace the injured Rafael Leao. Pulisic has 4 goals and 2 assists thus far but has not been on target in over a month now but will need to pull something out of the bag tonight as he become the main attacking option given Jovic and Chukwueze are yet to score since joining.
The former Milan man is having an incredible run of form in the new season which earned him call ups to the Italian national team after years and he even scored for the Azzurri on his first game back. He has 5 goals and 2 assists for Fiorentina and is playing a key role supplementing the attack from midfield and playing off Nico Gonzalez. The midfielder is a big threat coming through the middle and Krunic/Musah must cut out his passing lanes and hamper his ability to shoot from distance.
The midfielder gets another run out as a box to box deployment above Ruben Loftus-Cheek - who is recovering from injury. Pobega is yet to make an impact this season and show his ability to drive up and fire off his rocket shots. Pobega has look off he pace of the squad and seems clumsy in defence with his tackles not hitting right. The decision to play from from the start could affect the pace of the game for us and possibly limit our ability to quickly break on the counter.
Prediction: Milan 2-1 Fiorentina
