AC Milan threw away two points and a two goal lead against AS Roma at the San Siro last night. The Rossoneri were 2-0 up at the 85th minute and then the defence switched off allowed two goals in from two set pieces as Ciprian Tatarusanu demonstrated that he is beyond useless when actually challenged but also raised questions on the ability of Fikayo Tomori in the air.
Pierre Kalulu opened the scoring for Milan with a lovely header to turn Sandro Tonali’s corner into the back of the net. Kalulu hit it cleanly and hard enough to ensure Patricio could not keep it out despite reaching it. Milan struggled with the stop-start nature of the game for the rest of the first half.
Tommaso Pobega would double the lead in the second half just shortly after being subbed onnas he met Rafael Leao through ball in the box and slammed the ball past the keeper.
Milan collapsed in the final five minutes of game time and five minutes of additional time to drop to third place below Juventus and the gap to Napoli widens again to seven points.
