AC Milan have their first game of 2022 against AS Roma on Thursday the 6th of January. Milan struggled with injuries for the final couple of months of 2021 which hurt the momentum of the side but it seems some players could return as early as this week. Stefano Pioli is currently bracing himself for the loss of midfielders Franck Kessie and Ismael Bennacer as well as defender Fode Ballo-Toure to the Africa Cup of Nations between the 9th of January and the 6th of February.

MilanNews.it are reporting that Ante Rebic and Rafael Leao are getting close to a return as they both trained individually on the pitch hence are a step closer to rejoining the group.

Tuttosport via MilanNews.it are adding that Davide Calabria and Zlatan Ibrahimovic should both get the call up for the Roma game and note that the COVID tests for the players have thus far all come back as negative.
