AC Milan Women took on Sampdoria in the league this weekend. The Rossonere were looking to follow up their strong 4-0 win over Hellas Verona with another three points. Maurizio Ganz’s side played out a tough game where they were being pressed hard in the midfield and restricted in the attack. Milan faced one of our former players Selena Babb who made a number of incredible saves keeping Giacinti and Thomas at bay.
The breakthrough for the Rossonere came in the second half when Tucceri Cimini swung in an incredible corner and new signing Greta Adami towered over the defence to get some contact and put it into the back of the net at the near post for her first goal in red and black. The midfielder scored the winner in a challenging game making it six out of six points as the side start on fire. Laura Giulani also managed to pick up her second clean sheet.
