AC Milan took on Sassuolo and were beaten 2-0 for the first time in the league this season. The Rossonere played their first game back from the international break and looked slightly disjointed compared to previous games. This was the second loss of the season but the first in the league. Maurizio Ganz’s side struggled to break into the match but kept getting hit hard on the counter attacks. The side played a 3-4-2-1 but were hit early on in the 15th minute by Dubcova with a long shot that beat Giuliani. Sassuolo sat back and defended for most of the game forcing our side to open up gaps which they exploited. Early in the second half, the Rossenere were hit again off a corner as Dongus connected ahead of anyone else. Milan hit the post later through Stapelfeldt and some chances from Giacinti and Vero but alas it was not to be as the game ended in a 2-0 defeat. The side take on Napoli next weekend.
