Players to Watch
He had an incredible run off the bench in the last game where he showed some flashy driblling skills and insane vision. He needs to follow up that performance with another strong one to brush off all the ‘luck’ comments. He can genuinely offer a threat down that wing but his crossing and passing need to hit the mark. He has a tough task against Bastoni but can play simple one-twos to open space and deliver good balls into the box.
The winger already has two goals this season and alongside Verde has been a terror down both wings. His pace will threaten Pierre Kalulu - who held up well again Johnsen last time out - but Maignan will need to expect snapshots and messy deflections as we have seen from Gyasi in recent weeks.
Diaz will be crucial in this game as with the fixture last year, we saw that the CAM needs to perform to beat Spezia. They will put all 11 players behind the ball for 90 minutes of they have to and Diaz will need to find gaps and allow the strikers to demonstrate how clinical they can be as the chances will be scarce. The no. 10 will need to also stand up to physical challenges and brush off a number of fouls in the game.
Prediction: Spezia 0 - 3 Milan
