AC Milan, it’s Sporting Director Frederic Massara and it’s player Davide Calabria have each been fined by FIGC as a disciplinary measure over the conduct during contract renewal negotiations between the aforementioned parties.

The fines are being applied because there was a lack of communication over the representation of the defender in his contract negotiations. The negotiations in question took place between September 2020 and February 2021 without the verification of or notification that Mr Miguel Alfaro Garcia was authorised to represent Calabria.

As per the statement from the FIGC via

“Both the player and the club have decided to negotiate, finding an agreement for ‘the application of the fine of €7,500.00 (seven thousand and five hundred) for Mr. Davide CALABRIA, of €7,500.00 (seven thousand and five hundred) of a fine for Mr. Frederic MASSARA, and of € 7,500.00 (seven thousand and five hundred) for the club AC MILAN SPA.”
