MilanNews.it reported this weekend that the defensive depth and strength of AC Milan is much appreciated by the management following the fixtures against Lazio and Liverpool where the centre backs were rotated and were easily the most solid unit in the squad.
This was reinforced in the Juventus game as Tomori, Romagnoli and Kjaer started but the former was forced to withdraw with an injury in the first half to be replaced by youngster Kalulu. Milan have another player out with an injury which is setting a worrying precedent and questions must be asked of the medical team as to why this is happening.
Milan have a midweek clash against Venezia followed by Spezia this weekend. Kjaer is likely at risk for both games if not more given this could be a muscular problem. Romagnoli - who has not been offered a new contract - could suddenly become the key starter in the side for the remainder of the season if his form holds.
