AC Milan Fail To Sell Out of Favour Right Winger Despite Multiple Deadline Day Approaches

The Rossoneri need to ease up the wage bill and potentially raise some funds but Castillejo didn’t want to go.

Gianluca di Marzio via confirmed late of Tuesday that 26 year old right winger Samu Castillejo for remain at AC Milan at least for the moment as the Rossoneri struggled to find a suitable deal to offload the player. Sampdoria made a late play for him but Spezia made a deadline day attempt as well as a number of Spanish clubs including Getafe, Espanyol and Real Betis also made approaches throughout the window but none did pan out by the end of the window.

BILD via reported that Hertha Berlin made an attempt to sign Castillejo on deadline day as they previously took Kryszstof Piatek from Milan. Hertha had an agreement will Milan for a dry loan but this collapsed at there was no agreement with the player.

A report from Tuttosport via claims there was a dispute between his agent Manuel Garcia Quillon and the Stella Agency (who claim to represent him) over the future of the player and where he should go.
