MilanNews.it are reporting that AC Milan’s new signing Tiemoue Bakayoko was racially abused whilst making his second debut for the Rossoneri yesterday evening coming off the bench at the San Siro against Lazio. The midfielder came off the bench in the 61st minute and received applause from the Rossoneri but jeers and racist chants from the Lazio fans in the away stand. They sang a song whose chorus was “This banana is for Bakayoko.”

Lazio and the player have bad blood over the racist comments in the past as well as Bakayoko holding up Francesco Acerbi’s shirt at the end of a 1-0 win in the 2018/19 season.

Bakayoko also had an unfortunate debut for another reason as he was forced off the pitch with an injury just 12 minutes after coming on. According to MilanNews.it the player had some physical discomfort in his left leg which forced him off. He is scheduled to undergo medical tests today to assess the extent of the injury.
