Sky Italia via MilanNews.it are reporting that Atalanta attacker Josip Ilicic has made up his mind to leave the club this summer as AC Milan lead the race to sign him. Milan have an agreement with the player but have not agreed a fee with Atalanta. Gazzetta dello Sport are adding that Atalanta are now open to a paid loan deal which would work for Milan. The idea for Milan is to forfeit their bonus on Matteo Pessina to secure this deal.
MilanNews.it are now reporting that Ilicic took part in the training session yesterday with Atalanta but was not called up for the squad for the final pre season friendly against West Ham in London. This is flaring up rumours as the move could be closed soon.
Antonio Vitiello is however reporting that Ilicic is the back up plan for Milan to be signed if the Rossoneri miss out on their top 2/3 targets for the attack. His deal would only be closed in the dying days of the market.
