Sky Italia via MilanLive.it are reporting that AC Milan and Chelsea FC are scheduled to meet to discuss the possibility of Tiemoue Bakayoko returning to the San Siro. The player is set to leave Chelsea this summer and two Serie A clubs are at the front of the race. Milan and Napoli where the player spent seasons on loan want him back. Milan have been testing Tommaso Pobega to be the fourth midfielder for the season but he is not a natural fit like Bakayoko would be. Bakayoko spent the 2018/19 season on loan with Milan under Gattuso where he impressed the management and fans alike thus is a constant rumoured target.
Calcio Mercato are reporting that Milan are aiming to secure a loan deal for the midfielder late in the transfer window as a permanent purchase seems unlikely. They do note that Chelsea would need to renew the contract of the player by a year so as to avoid losing him for free or include an obligation to buy in the deal.
