The FIGC recently released the upcoming matchday schedule for the upcoming season of Serie A Femminile. The schedule was for the first half of the season. The schedule for the second half will be determined later on.
AC Milan will meet Hellas Verona for their first game of the season. They’ll follow up that confrontation with a match against Sampdoria, who now have Giorgia Spinelli among their ranks.
Milan will meet AS Roma on Matchday Six. They’ll perhaps be looking to avenge their Coppa Italia loss to them then. Afterward, they’ll meet Fiorentina and will see their old friend, Francesca Vitale. The Rossonere’s two biggest matches will come during the last two matchdays. Milan will meet their crosstown rivals Inter on Matchday 10, between December 4th and 5th.
They will meet Juventus on Matchday 11. The Rossonere will play the Bianconere between the dates of December 11-12th.
The matchday schedule seems to be ideal for Milan. The schedule will not see them engage in any heavy clashes early on, which will give them the chance to focus on advancing through Champions League qualification.
The schedule will also give Milan’s new signings time to adjust in the league. This could be valuable in the long run, as the Rossonere will benefit from the likes of Laia Codina and Sara Thrige being acclimated to the championship.
AC Milan’s full schedule is below. You can also find it on the FIGC’s official site.
A few posts that will lead up to the upcoming season will be written in the next few days.
