Gianluca di Marzio is reporting that AC Milan are working hard to sign Brest attacking midfielder Romain Faivre before the end of the transfer window this week. The deal will likely be worth 15 million euros where 12 million is fixed and 3 million is in bonuses. The initial 10 million euro bid from Milan was turned down already and another approach is expected for the 23 year old.
MilanNews.it are reporting that Faivre was left out of the squad for Brest’s game against Strasbourg today. The exclusion was linked to the negotiations and given credence to Milan’s approach and possibly the move being at an advanced stage.
Sporting Director of Brest, Gregory Lorenzi has discussed the approach via Sempre Milan and said:
“We refused a first offer from a club for Faivre. We are far from an agreement. He did not want to take a risk in view of the discussions with the club in question, but it is not us who retain him. He disappointed me.”
