AC Milan and Chelsea FC have at last reached an agreement for the return of 27 year old midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko. The Frenchman will be the fourth midfielder in Stefano Pioli’s set up behind Franck Kessie, Ismael Bennacer and Sandro Tonali for the season and will play an important role in January due to the AFCON. Antonio Vitiello is reporting that the player will be present in Milan today undertaking his medicals in the morning and possibly signing his contract this afternoon.
Calcio Mercato are reporting that the terms of the deal changed yesterday when Milan took the option of keeping the player on a two year loan so as to secure a lower buy out clause of 15 million euros. Bakayoko renewed his deal with Chelsea until 2024 yesterday morning in anticipation to travel to Milan today for his medicals. He returns to the club following two loan spells at AS Monaco in France and Napoli in Italy where he has featured in the Europa League only.
