AC Milan have officially announced on their website the signing of AS Monaco striker Pietro Pellegri on a loan with an option to buy. The 20 year old striker will be returning to Serie A after three and a half seasons in France where he has struggled with injury. He broke out with Genoa is the 2016/17 season where he scored against AS Roma on the final match day of the season when Francesco Totti was retiring.
He underwent his medicals yesterday at La Madonnina Clinic and was present at Casa Milan earlier today to sign his contract. Pellegri will wear the number 64 shirt for the season.
As per multiple reports, the player will join on a paid loan worth 1 million euros for the year and will have an option to buy for 6 million euros which becomes an obligation under certain conditions. There may be an additional 1 million euros in bonuses.
