AC Milan start off their 2021/22 Serie A campaign tonight with the opening game away from away against Sampdoria. Milan go into the game with a very different squad to last season as Donnarumma and Calhanoglu have departed while Kessie and Ibrahimovic are out with injuries. Bennacer will start from the bench as he is being eased back into the team following his recovery from the coronavirus. New signings Maignan and Giroud get their competitive debuts for the club while redeemed loanees Tomori, Tonali and Diaz will start from the first minute. Florenzi has been included in the squad for the game while Conti has been left out.
The match at the Luigi Ferraris will be an early test for the Rossoneri as they face an experienced squad and one that has players who look to sting us such as Quagliarella, Candreva and Gabbiadini.
Expected Line Up (4-2-3-1): Maignan, Calabria, Kjaer, Tomori, Hernandez, Krunic, Tonali, Saelemaekers, Diaz, Leao, Giroud.
