Gianluca di Marzio is reporting that AC Milan could be handed a lifeline by Atalanta in the sale of Andrea Conti as his former club have stepped forward to make an enquiry for him. The right back joined in the summer of 2017 but has struggled with injuries and the formation at Milan followed by the emergence of Davide Calabria. His playing time has been limited and he even spent last season on loan at Parma with an option to buy. This option was not exercised as the team was relegated.

Atalanta are dealing with a injury to Hans Hateboer hence Gian Piero Gasperini would like to add some depth to the role to rotate with Joakim Maehle. Atalanta are evaluating the profile of the player and the willingness of Milan to allow him to leave at a low cost. It is in the Rossoneri’s best interest to let the player leave especially since signing Alessandro Florenzi from AS Roma this week.
