Corriere dello Sport via MilanNews.it are reporting that AC Milan are the most likely destination for right winger Josip Ilicic who is set to leave Atalanta this summer. Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are yet to find an agreement with the club over a transfer fee. A new hypothesis has emerged in which Milan could forego the 50% sell on fee for Matteo Pessina to secure the signing of the veteran attacker. The agreement seems imminent hence it is only a matter of time until the deal is closed.

Tuttosport via MilanLive.it are reporting that Milan are working to reduce the 8 million euros asking price from his club. They are also reporting that the Pessina sell on clause will be used to secure this deal. It is likely that Milan will receive the 3 million bonus as opposed to the 50% sell on for him. The 33 year old would be valuable depth for Milan’s attack.

A number of reports are claiming that the arrival of Ilicic would not exclude a starting attacking midfielder from the transfer plans.
