Calcio Mercato are reporting that AC Milan have decided to keep youngster Daniel Maldini at the club this season to play a role as depth for the attacking midfield role. As it stands, Maldini and Brahim Diaz are the only natural CAMs in the squad. The former Primavera player featured last season but struggled with injuries and the coronavirus which severely limited his playing time. He made 9 appearances for Milan across all competitions last season starting twice.

The 19 year old has started off the pre season well getting a good amount of minutes in each of the first three games. He was particularly impressive against OGC Nice this weekend coming off the bench. He is extremely good on the ball with solid vision and really good passing. He was known for his set pieces and long shots whilst with the Primavera, hopefully he gets a chance to showcase his skills this year.
