AC Milan Will Make An Approach For 20 Year Old Italian Striker From AS Monaco

A surprising name to most but one that makes sense given the role.

Foot Mercato broke the news this morning that AC Milan have added Pietro Pellegri from AS Monaco to their list of potential candidates for the third striker role behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud for the season. The 20 year old striker broke out in Serie A with Genoa is destined for a move back to Italy with a number of clubs watching him.

Fabrizio Romano, Gianluca di Marzio and Antonio Vitiello have all now confirmed the reports citing that talks are ongoing to bring the striker back to Italy after a tough spell in France.

MilanNews.it are reporting that Milan are looking to sign the player on a loan hence he must renew with contract with Monaco past 2022 to make this deal work. The striker has struggled with injury problems in France over the past two seasons but being the third striker for Milan offers him a chance to get stronger and perform in flashes.
