AC Milan Women Kick Off Their Season Tonight In The UEFA Women’s Champions League

A big day for the club and an important opportunity for the new signings to show how integrated they are.

AC Milan Women officially kick off their season this evening with a qualification game for the UEFA Women’s Champions League in Zurich. This is a big moment as it will be the first ever participation by the side in the top European competition. The Rossonere are bursting with confidence from their big win against Atletico Madrid Feminino in a friendly this past week. The 3-1 victory saw new signing Lindsey Thomas star as she bagged a brace.

Milan enter the competition in the round 1 qualifier and will need to win to get to the finals. Thereafter there will be a round two qualifier before joining the group stages of the competition.

The Rossonere are ready for their debut in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. The first-round knockout match against FC Zürich Frauen is scheduled for 8:00pm CEST tonight. Coach Maurizio Ganz called up 22 players for the match in Switzerland.
