AC Milan Striker Set To Miss Opening Two Games Of The Season But Recovery Going As Scheduled

The striker will need to be used strategically this season to avoid losing him for large spells.

Peppe di Stefano via MilanNews.it is reporting that AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is continuing his path to recovery from his injury. He has been on a personalised program for weeks now as he has not returned to training with the group. The 39 year old is not being rushed back as this could cause a reoccurrence and Milan a re covered in the department thanks to the arrival of striker Olivier Giroud. The striker is expected to continue working separately and perhaps join the squad during the international break next month and make a return thereafter. His first game could be against Lazio or in the Champions League opener.

MilanNews.it are reporting that the player will almost certainly miss the first two games of the new season but note that he in making good progress as he had a gym session and work in the sand pits yesterday. They are also reporting that a run following the international break seems likeliest at this point.
