AC Milan Look Likely To Secure Atalanta Veteran This Summer As Player Wants Move

AC Milan have been following Josip Ilicic for a while as the player seems unsettled at Atalanta and would appreciate him as versatile depth for the attack specifically for the right wing and attacking midfield roles.

Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gaperini spoke to the press following a friendly via Milan Reports to say:

“At the end of the season, Ilicic clearly expressed the desire to have new experiences and find new emotions. The intention is to please him , but at the moment there are no particular movements. He did well in the preparations. It is an indication of excellent health, he has not skipped a minute of training and has never complained about anything. It has never happened since I have been here. In my opinion, he is preparing to find a team that will give him the possibility to do something important again, he still has the means to do it.”

Daniele Longo is reporting that Ilicic wants to join Milan this summer.
