Gianluca di Marzio is reporting that AC Milan have closed the deal for Chelsea FC striker Olivier Giroud after about a month or two of rumours. The veteran France international has been at the Euros where his side were knocked out in the round of sixteen on penalties by Switzerland. Giroud has been at Chelsea for three and a half years and has won both the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Champions League in that spell. He has also won the World Cup with his national team in that time. He is now 34 years old.
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Milan will pay Chelsea 1 million euros for the player and a further 1 million in add ons. He will sign a two year contract until 2023 and is expected to undergo his medicals on Monday.
Angelo Mangiante is reporting that the wage will be 3.5 million euros per year for the striker who has 221 career goals and 81 career assists for clubs and an additional 46 goals for his country.
