MilanNews.it are reporting that AC Milan’s commercial sector has appreciated the return of the club to the UEFA Champions League as they have been handed a boost when looking for sponsorships and partnerships. Milan under Ivan Gazidis and Casper Stylsvig have been accelerating in this space regardless over the past year and do not look like they will stop.
The report states that in the next few days, Milan will announce a huge partnership with Chinese mobile phone manufacturer Oppo. Oppo remains the no. 1 smartphone brand in China since 2016 and is ranked in the top 5 globally by market share.
This will be a major sponsorship for the Rossoneri as it is expected the company will join one of the top tiers of sponsorship with Milan and could potentially be one of the additional shirt sponsors on the sleeve as previously negotiated with Emirates as part of the renewal.
Oppo currently sponsor FC Barcelona until the end of the 2022 season and also FC Utrecht in the Netherlands. In other sports, they sponsor Lamborghini and Roland Garros.
