AC Milan Women have now lost a long time defender Francesca Vitale as she has announced her departure from the club on Instagram this past week. She was an important part of the squad that secured Champions League football for the Rossonere as well as made it to the final of the Coppa Italia in her final season. She has not announced where she will be heading next at this stage.
Vitale played 18 games for the Rossonere in the league this season and played 11 games last season. She played manly as a centre back but had to fight for space with a number of players especially Laura Agard. She partnered Laura Fusetti largely over the past season.
Vitale follows Natasha Dowie and Deborah Salvatori Rinaldi out thus far this summer as the Rossonere look to have another reset on their hands similar to the previous two seasons where a number of starters exited.
